The Lock: Seattle Seahawks

The easiest pick for your NFL Survivor picks in Week 12 is the Seattle Seahawks. If you haven’t picked the Seattle Seahawks on their red-hot streak yet, congratulations! This is the week to do it as they hit the road to take on the Tennessee Titans.

Don’t get me wrong, the Titans have been somewhat feisty at home. They may even be feisty enough to cover this large spread, though I’m not 100% sold on that. On that note, make sure you check out Old-Fashioned Football for my official lock in this game. However, don’t forget, the Seahawks have been complete road warriors. Last week against the Rams was the first road game they dropped. The Titans are not the Rams.

The Titans’ defense has shown up against divisional opponents in Tennessee. Beyond that, it has been pretty bad. They’re allowing 352 yards per game, including 217 in the air and 134 on the ground. Sam Darnold, Kenneth Walker, Zach Charbonnet, and JSN are about to have really big games.

Another Confident Pick: Detroit Lions

The other lock for your NFL survivor picks in Week 12 is the Detroit Lions. This is another team that maybe you’ve used. However, if you haven’t, you’re in luck. Coming off a loss, the Lions get the struggling Giants. The Giants once had some promise with the swagger of Dart and Skatteboo. Both are now injured, and the swagger has worn off.

Under head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions have a very good track record of bouncing back after a loss. Following their loss to the Eagles last week, the Giants will be punished severely just for being the next opponent.

Get ready to watch those running backs run wild on a defense that’s allowing almost 150 rushing yards per game. Detroit has won three straight games against the Giants dating back to 2017, and I would almost guarantee a Lions win in this meeting as well.

An Underdog Pick: Atlanta Falcons

Finally, let’s take a look at an underdog pick that maybe nobody else is looking at. Something you can get the team out of the way in your picks and never have to think about them again. It’s a small dog for our NFL Week 12 survivor picks, but in a game where I think the wrong team is favored.

Yes, the game is in New Orleans. However, this is a team that’s 2-8 against the spread, 2-8 straight up, and 1-4 at home. They just haven’t had much of a home-field advantage. Now they’ll face off against the Atlanta Falcons, who are down Michael Penix and Drake London.

Call me crazy, but I still have some belief in Kirk Cousins. I don’t expect him to step in and set the world on fire. However, the last time he stepped in, he looked bad. Kirk Cousins feels like a guy who has something to prove, and I think he’s going to want to prove it. Let’s not forget Penix may not be ready by Week 1 next year, and Cousins will want to prove he can still be a starting quarterback in this league. They also still have a big playmaker like Bijan Robinson and a solid defense.

Falcons get it done here against Tyler Shough and the Saints.
