Daily NBA Player Props – October 24th
Victor Wembanyama – Over 26.5 Points (-115)
We all saw what Wembanyama did on opening night. After going off for 40 points and 15 boards – along with his usual handful of blocks – his MVP odds were cut from +1200 to +300. Now we’re getting him against a soft defense in New Orleans and he’s only looking for a fraction of what he had last time out. 27 is not only well within reach, but a virtual lock for Friday’s action.
Bub Carrington – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-110)
On opening night, the Wizards were understandingly overmatched by the Bucks. However, they did go off for 120 points. A great deal of that was due to their dedication to shooting the deep ball. They clearly have decided that it’s going to be a big part of their offense as they jacked up 42 deep balls and made 17 of them. Five different players had three or more three-pointers with Carrington being one of them. The Mavericks gave up plenty of points in their first game, so I think we can find six by this method.
Steven Adams – Over 7.5 Rebounds (-145)
Sengun was the name on everybody’s tongue after the first game for the Rockets. However, he would have been well below his projected rebounds had they not played a couple of overtimes. Adams, on the other hand, was far more active on the boards early. He snagged nearly this many offensive rebounds in the first showing. While this has some chalk on it here, I think it’s well worth the value.
