Week 7 NFL Confidence Pool Picks

Week 7 NFL Confidence Pool Picks

The NFL is in Week 7 already! It’ll kick off Thursday night with the second matchup in history of two 40+ quarterbacks squaring off. Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco lead that AFC North battle. The London Jags are back on Sunday as we have another early matchup. And the weekend caps off with a true doubleheader on Monday Night Football. Let’s dive in and make our Week 7 NFL Confidence pool picks.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

Week 6 was a great rebound after a tough Week 5. In this article, we hit eight of our top nine picks; the Buffalo Bills letting us down on Monday Night Football was the big miss. Moving on to Week 7, the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens are the only two teams on bye. Both desperately needing a break, Buffalo off back-to-back losses, and Baltimore reeling without Lamar Jackson.

Eight games in Week 7 have a spread within three points. Meaning Las Vegas sees this being another tough week to predict outright winners, which is what we’ll do as we make our confidence pool picks rankings.

Week 7 NFL Confidence Pool Picks

High Confidence Picks

1.Patriots
2.Chiefs
3.Packers
4.Bears
5.Commanders

The AFC East-leading New England Patriots have looked great the last couple of weeks. After a statement win over the Bills, they took care of business with the Saints last week. Now Mike Vrabel gets revenge over the team that fired him, the week they’ve fired their next coach. This could be another 42-14 Patriots-Panthers type game.

Kansas City scored a big win Sunday Night over Detroit, and now they have a Las Vegas team coming to town that just flat looks bad. This is the perfect spot for Kansas City to keep building momentum as Rashee Rice is back from suspension.

The Green Bay Packers have lost a little bit of the hype they had early in the season, but they are still a good team. They head to Arizona to take on a Cardinals team that may or may not be playing Kyler Murray, but hasn’t played stellar against better opponents. It won’t be a blowout, but I don’t trust Arizona in a close game.

The Chicago Bears reversed the Washington curse with a walk-off win on Monday Night. This week, they host a bad New Orleans team at Soldier Field. Ben Johnson will have the troops rallied for this game, and Chicago will move to 4-2 in his first year.

The team they beat, Washington, should bounce back just fine this week. They head to Dallas to take on a horrendous defense. They need a pick-me-up after the Chicago defeat, and Washington is the better team here. Dallas couldn’t even beat Carolina last week.

Confident Picks

6.49ers
7.Steelers
8.Eagles
9.Broncos
10.Seahawks

There’s a big drop off from High Confidence to the Confident picks this week. But Atlanta, coming off the big Bills upset in prime time and heading west for another prime time spot, is a lot for a team that got blown out by the Panthers. Mac Jones, Brock Purdy, or Joe Schmo. It doesn’t matter who San Francisco starts; Kyle Shanahan will get the win over his former team.

If Thursday Night is included in your pool, Pittsburgh is a good play in this seventh spot. It’s Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers against Joe Flacco with no offensive line or defense at all. The Steelers win this one.

It’s not the time to panic in Philadelphia. The Eagles are still the best team in football, but they’ve had back-to-back disappointing weeks. Now they likely get a young quarterback coming back off injury. It’s back to the basics for Philly, and they get back in the win column.

The New York Giants have looked better with Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo. The Jets also gave Denver a scare overseas last week. But Denver is the better team here, and returns to the comfort of high altitude this week. It’s back-to-back wins over New York for Sean Payton and company.

The second Monday Night game pits Seattle against Houston. The Texans have looked a little better, but they still have a lot of work to do. Seattle has a stout defense, and Sam Darnold has looked like last year wasn’t a fluke. I think that’s enough for the prime time home win with the help of the 12th man.

Toss-Ups

11.Jaguars
12.Colts
13.Lions
14.Panthers
15.Browns

The Jaguars have a true home-field advantage now in London. It’s always hard to pick against Sean McVay, but down Puka Nacua, maybe the Rams will struggle a little. I’ve been riding the Jag-Wagon, and I’m not getting off of it now. Remember, this is the early game!

The #1 seed in the AFC currently, the Indianapolis Colts. It’s hard to bet against them at this point, and the Chargers are so beat up. LA also doesn’t really have a home-field advantage, so we’ll ride with Danny Dimes.

Tampa Bay and Detroit is probably the game of the week. A true toss-up here, take whichever side you like better. I’d like to ride with the dog that is Baker Mayfield, and I think he’ll make this a game. But speaking of teams that are beat up, it’s rough for the Buccaneers. I think the Lions bounce back after a primetime loss and snag a primetime win.

Jets-Panthers. The Panthers have been horrid on the road this year, but the Jets are, the Jets. Garret Wilson is out now, maybe Fields runs for 300 yards, but I think you have to go Panthers here.

The Browns and Dolphins is about as gross as it gets. Cleveland is at home, and their defense is solid. So, I guess we’ll take the Browns? Since we’re forced to make a pick in this game.
