It’s become comical how badly my daily best bets have been doing lately. The losing streak is up to five days now, and it’s on the verge of six unless the Milwaukee Brewers stage a dramatic comeback in Game 2 of the NLCS. Perhaps tomorrow is the day I break out of my slump by fading my country’s baseball team. Toronto Blue Jays vs Seattle Mariners

If the American League’s best team in the regular season, the 94-68 Toronto Blue Jays, are planning on winning the ALCS, they certainly are taking a difficult path to the World Series. Not only did they boot their home-field advantage out of the window in this series, but they got stomped, housed even, by the Seattle Mariners in the first two games in front of a packed house at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
Will things get better for Toronto across the country (and across the border) in the Pacific Northwest? They’ll surely have plenty of fans in the crowd, with British Columbia a short drive from Seattle, but the Mariners are beasts at home. Seattle’s 51-30 record at T-Mobile Park was seventh-best in the majors this season, and they’re 2-1 at home in the playoffs.
Seattle continues the rout tomorrow at home.
