We get some AFC action tomorrow night on Monday Night Football, with the AFC West’s Kansas City Chiefs visiting the AFC South’s Jacksonville Jaguars. And who would have guessed that the Jaguars would have the better record of the two teams through four games?!
While the Chiefs are only 2-2, they have won two straight games after limping out of the gate, smoking the New York Giants and the Baltimore Ravens. And Kansas City has the third-highest strength of schedule in the conference thus far, while Jacksonville’s is below average. Plus, the Chiefs are the top-rated team in the AFC, and third-best overall, based on the advanced stats.
However, after crunching all the numbers, I still only have Kansas City as a half a point favorite tomrorow on the road in Jacksonville. However (again), I’m going to go off script and override my numbers, because this is the Chiefs we’re dealing with, and this is the Jaguars we’re dealing with. Kansas City covers the spread tomorrow night.
