MMA Regional Pick of the Week: Cage Warriors 195
Cage Warriors Middleweight Fight: Dario Bellandi vs Claudio Ribeiro
Card Start Time: Saturday (10/4), 11:00am EST (UFC Fight Pass)
Cage Warriors heads to Rome this weekend and they have an Italian champion at the top of the card. The home crowd is sure to go nuts for Dario Bellandi as he defends his Cage Warriors middleweight title on Saturday morning. Despite the home field advantage in this one, I’m going against the champ.
He’ll be fighting UFC veteran Claudio Ribiero, who has a ugly record as of late. That’s largely because he’s a big puncher who lives and dies by his hooks. The power on the Brazilian is unquestionable, but whether or not he can land it has, in fact, been the big question.
Luckily for him, he’ll be fighting Dario Bellandi, who has been known to take a punch or two. His past durability may be a hindrance for him in this one, as Ribeiro hits much harder than his past opponents. Being that he’s not particularly fast and has been willing to eat one to give one, I expect Belladi to throw a bit with Ribeiro. If he does, I don’t think he’ll last too long.
