Week 4 of the NFL season is already upon us (technically, it started on Thursday), and we’ve got an early morning game going down tomorrow across the pond in Ireland. CAROLINA PANTHERS VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
Of all the games on the slate, I’m going with a stinker like the 1-2 Carolina Panthers vs the 1-2 New England Patriots?! Two teams that not much is expected of this season (Carolina projected at 6.5 wins; New England at 8.5)?! But money can be made on good and bad teams alike.
The Patriots have no good excuse for being 1-2, as both of their losses have come at home. Actually, something is going to give tomorrow, as New England is winless at home and Carolina is winless on the road.
And I think it’s the Panthers that are going to lose their 0. Or, at the very least, they are going to cover the spread for us. In fact, the difference between the spread I’ve calculated using advanced stats and home field advantage and the actual spread we’re getting at the books is the largest in this game for Week 4.
My line is Carolina -17 (too high, I get it, but still more than enough wiggle room), so the Panthers on the spread is my best bet for Sunday.
