We swept the board yet again on Wednesday thanks to some dominant pitching from Chris Sale – amongst others. Now we’ll look to keep the ball rolling with a pair of NRFI bets for September 11.
Thursday has a thin slate of games, with just nine total games. However, that’s still plenty to find some winning NRFI and YRFI props for September 11. Come check out what we have cooked up for this slate of games.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – September 11
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Baltimore Orioles
First Pitch – 1:05 pm EST
Camden Yards – Baltimore, MD
Broadcast – MLB TV
We rode this series to an NRFI win on Wednesday and we’re doubling down in the finale. Sure, we don’t quite have the same pitching matchup, but the bats are still just as bad as they were before. The Pirates still rank dead last in the majors in run scoring and are one of only four teams that can’t hit the 4.00 mark on the season. They were struggling again on Wednesday as the game went into the 9th inning with a 1-1 score. As I said prior, Cade Povich is not Tyler Wells, but he has been decent. More importantly, he’s held opponents scoreless in four of the last first frames.
The bottom of the first is another solid spot, even if Paul Skenes isn’t the one dealing. On the offensive side, the Orioles are below average with the bats and rank 26th in first inning scoring. Meanwhile, Johan Oviedo has been lights out all year. He hasn’t allowed more than two runs in an outing this year and is coming off his best start yet. He held the Brewers silent for 5.0 innings. If he can do that to a team that hits that well, three outs against the Orioles should be a cake walk.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for September 11: No (-130)
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Chicago White Sox
First Pitch – 2:10 pm EST
Rate Field – Chicago, IL
Broadcast – MLB TV
Out other matinee game has us with a fairly average team at the plate first. However, they’ll face Shane Smith, who has been anything but average over the last couple months. In his last seven starts, Smith has held five opponents to two or less runs in the outing. Those numbers get even better looking if you expand to the other side of the All-Star Game, which he got an out in. With the Rays putting up just 12 runs over their last five games, they don’t seem like the team that will upset that trend.
To close out the NRFI action, we get a White Sox team that is coming in at 26th in the majors when it comes to runs scored. Similarly, they have scored just ten total runs in their last three games. Ian Seymour should be able to pile on to that misery. He’s rocking a 2.89 ERA coming into this one and has allowed just two earned runs in his last three starts combined. That’s a 1.29 ERA in the last three weeks time.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for September 11: No (-135)
