After a dynamite UFC 319 this past weekend in Chicago, the UFC octagon is off to Shanghai this coming Saturday for a pretty ok UFC Fight Night fight card. But if you live in North America, you’ll have to get up early (or stay up late) to watch it. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Shanghai, I’ve got your winner for the main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Shanghai
UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang (aka UFC Shanghai)
Main Card Start Time: Saturday – 6:00 AM EST – (ESPN+)
We’ve got a 3:00 AM EST start time for Saturday’s prelims and 6:00 AM EST for the main card. The main event sees UFC veteran Johnny Walker taking on up-and-coming Chinese prospect Zhang Mingyang in a five-round light heavyweight fight. And my pick falls on the side of the chalk.
At 27 years old, Zhang is a pup for the 205-pound weight class, but he’s not just younger than Walker; he’s also a knockout machine. ‘Mountain Tiger’ has finished nine straight opponents via strikes, including his first three UFC matchups. Walker has a questionable chin and has been knocked out in back-to-back fights. It’s simple math.
