Baltimore Orioles vs Philadelphia Phillies
Start Time: Saturday – 6:45 PM EST
Game 2 of an American League East vs National League East series goes down tomorrow in Philly, with the hometown Philadelphia Phillies stomping the visiting Baltimore Orioles in Game 1 by the count of 13-3. But that comes as no surprise, because the Phillies are among the handful of elite teams in the majors, while the Orioles are among the basement dwellers.
Do I expect a different result on Tuesday night? Nope. Not surprisingly, the Phillies are also a strong home team while also not surprisingly, while the Orioles are crummy on the road. Plus, these are two teams headed in opposite directions, with Baltimore holding a fire sale at the trade deadline while Philadelphia bolstered its lineup for a hopefully long playoff run.
The only thing in Baltimore’s favor tomorrow is that they may have the better starting pitcher, with Dean Kramer going up against Taijuan Walker. But that’s a toss-up also.
