Two top-nine teams in the majors (according to advanced stats) start an interleague series tomorrow in Yankee Stadium, with the New York Yankees, second place in the American League East, hosting the Philadelphia Phillies, second in the National League East. And at least one Yankee hitter will be happy to see who the Phillies send out to the mound to start on Friday.
The hitter would be Jazz Chisholm Jr, and the pitcher would be Taijuan Walker. Both players are having good seasons, with Chisholm making his second All-Star team, and Walker having his best season in a Philadelphia uniform. But look for Chisholm to have the upper hand tomorrow, as he has a career slash of .467/.600/.667 in 20 career plate appearances against Walker.
I like the Yankee star to touch at least two bases tomorrow against Walker and the Phillies.
