The Blue Jays welcome the Angels to the Rogers Centre on Sunday, but our prop play is anything but welcoming.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a great Saturday. He snagged three hits and reached separately on a walk. It was clear he was seeing the ball well and there’s a good chance that continues. He faces familiar foe Tyler Anderson in this one. The two of them have faced off 15 times in their respective careers. In that span, Guerrero Jr. is 7-for-13 (.539) and is slugging a robust .692.
Despite a solid start to his weekend and a good head-to-head matchup, the projection on his total bases is still good. We can probably point to his lack of extra base hits as of late. However, I like his chance to change that Sunday afternoon.
