If only I had known in advance that Caitlin Clark wasn’t going to suit up for the Indiana Fever on Thursday night, I might be on a bit of a winning streak. Instead, I’m stuck in win-one, lose-one purgatory. Here are your WNBA predictions and preview for Saturday, June 28th.
WNBA Predictions & Preview For Saturday, June 28th
Washington Mystics vs Dallas Wings
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
After a smorgasbord of five games on the WNBA slate on Friday, we’re left with a lone game to feast on on Saturday night. And it’s not a particularly good one, with the Washington Mystics visiting the Dallas Wings.
But that’s probably not fair to the Mystics, as despite being expected to have a rebuilding season this year, they are 8-8 through the first 16 games of the season. A team that was projected at 14.5 wins heading into the season is on pace to win 22 games instead.
And this isn’t a case of doing it with smoke and mirrors, as the advanced stats have them pegged at 8-8, and they’ve played the sixth-toughest schedule in the league thus far. Plus, they’re undefeated (2-0) since star guard Brittney Sykes went down with a leg injury (she’s questionable to play on Saturday).
This is the second night of a home back-to-back for the Dallas Wings, as they lost a tough one to the Caitlin Clark-less Indiana Fever on Friday night. My line for this game is Washington -3, so it’s a tight one, but they’ll get the nod.
Best Bet: Washington -2.5 (-110)
Overall Record: 14-18 (44%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): -($514.23)
Return on Investment: -16%
