WNBA Predictions & Preview For Friday, June 27th

Chicago Sky vs Golden State Valkyries

Start Time: 10:00 PM EST

As if things weren’t going bad enough for the Chicago Sky, with a 4-10 record and their starting point guard, Courtney Vandersloot, out for the season. Now their starting center, Kamilla Cardoso, has left the team to play for the Brazilian National Team.

Despite this, the spread for the Sky’s game against the Golden State Valkyries isn’t wide enough. My line is Golden State -14, so the Valkyries get my money, once again.

Best Bet: Golden State -8.5 (-110)

Connecticut Sun vs Seattle Storm

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

The Seattle Storm has the oldest roster in the WNBA, but the experience is paying off with wins, as the team is 9-6, with the advanced stats ranking them as the third-best team in the league. This despite the Storm having played the toughest schedule in the W thus far.

The Connecticut Sun are younger, but they are also terrible – the worst team in the league, sitting with a 2-13 record. And the advanced stats have them 15.35 points worse than the average team. Blech. While the spread for this game is huge, it’s not huge enough – my line is Seattle -24.5.

Best Bet: Seattle -18 (-110)

Overall Record: 13-17 (43%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): -($496.05)
Return on Investment: -17%
