For the first time in just over a decade, the UFC is returning to one of its hottest markets back in the day, Montreal, Quebec. UFC 315 brings us two title fights on top, plus plenty of Canadian and French fighters spread throughout the card. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC 315, I’m zeroing in on the main event for the UFC Welterweight Championship! Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC 315
UFC 315: Muhammad vs Della Maddalena
Main Card Start Time: 10:00 PM EST (PPV)
In years past, the UFC’s 170-pound title was often defended in Montreal when native son Georges St-Pierre ruled the roost. Now, the most unlikely champion, Belal Muhammad, is the king of the division.
Muhammad isn’t much of an athlete or a finisher on the feet or the ground, but he’s smart and durable and always figures out a way to win. Challenger Jack Della Maddalena is young, explosive, and a knockout machine, but Muhammad has the experience, the fight IQ, and the gameplanning on his side. The champ will find a way past this challenge, probably via his grappling.
