My undefeated May continues, as the Denver Nuggets curb-stomped the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 7 on Saturday night, easily covering the spread. Sunday brings us another Game 7, plus the start of a conference semifinal series.. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Sunday, May 4th.
NBA Predictions & Preview For Sunday, May 4th
Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
Start Time – 6:00 PM EST
The #4-seeded Indiana Pacers and the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers made quick work of their opponents in Round 1 to give themselves some time to rest up for this second-round series. Now the Pacers will have to try to deal with the Cavaliers on their home court, where they are monsters.
Cleveland may be without All-Star guard Darius Garland to start the series as he has an injured toe, but that didn’t slow them down last round. My line is Cleveland -10.5, so the Cavs on the spread is the play.
Best Bet: Denver -7.5 (-104)
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets
Start Time – 8:30 PM EST
First, the Houston Rockets fumbled the bag by not winning earlier in the series when Jimmy Butler was out. Now the Golden State Warriors have slipped up, allowing the Rockets to steal Game 6 on their home floor. Whether they like it or not, one team has to win the series tomorrow night.
The Warriors already won a game in Houston this series, but they aren’t going to get two from the team that was 29-12 at home this year. My line is Houston -4.5, so the Rockets get my money.
Best Bet: Houston -2.5 (-110)
Overall Record: 177-147 (54%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,479.11
Return on Investment: 5%
