Las Vegas Raiders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview and Predictions

Antonio Pierce and his Las Vegas Raiders head to sunny Florida this weekend. They’ll take on Todd Bowles and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. The forecast looks to be 71 degrees, partly cloudy with minimal wind. Let’s dive in and take a look at this Raiders-Buccaneers preview and predictions.

It’s not been the season the Raiders had hoped for, and now the Deion Sanders rumors are floating around. Could he be the next coach of the Las Vegas Raiders? Vegas finds themselves at just 2-10 on the season and in contention for the number one overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

Tampa Bay finds themselves just outside of the playoff picture as the first team on the bubble in the NFC. They are tied with the Falcons in record for the NFC South lead, but Atlanta won both of the teams’ matchups so the Falcons hold the tiebreaker in the division title race. The Buccaneers come in the winners of their last two games after a four-game losing streak.

Mike Evans Over 68.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Mike Evans has 10 straight 1,000-receiving-yard seasons. The veteran has missed a few games this season and sits at 521 yards with just five games remaining. If he can average 95.8 yards per game he can keep that streak alive. It’s a tough goal to reach, but not impossible.

Evans, the coaching staff, and Baker Mayfield are all well aware of what’s needed for Evans to keep the streak alive. When you have an opportunity to play a bad team like the Raiders, it’s the perfect chance to hyper-target Evans and try and rack those yards up.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers -6 (-130)

This Raiders team just isn’t a good team. They’ve lost eight games in a row and only covered the spread in three of those eight losses despite being the underdog every game. Tampa has covered the spread in three of their last four games and can’t afford to mess around this week. They need W’s in the win column as they seek a playoff berth.
