Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders Preview and Predictions

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders Preview and Predictions

One of the biggest surprises this season has been the Washington Commanders who are in a battle for the NFC East Division title. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are headed for a top pick in next year’s draft. The Cowboys have turned to Cooper Rush who has not been able to lead the Cowboys offense to any type of success. Can anyone blame him, especially without a running game? Below are my Cowboys at Commanders Preview and Predictions.

Two teams who are headed in opposite directions are battling it out on Sunday. The Cowboys are without Dak Prescott but do get key defensive players back in this game. Micah Parsons returned a few weeks ago for the Cowboys but cornerback Daron Bland gives the Cowboys a much-needed boost in this game. However, the Cowboys will be without tight end Jake Ferguson who is in concussion protocol. Additionally, the status of Tyron Smith and Zack Martin will be known closer to game time.

Meanwhile, Jayden Daniels may be dealing with a lingering rib injury he suffered a few weeks ago which has limited big plays for the Commanders. Thus I do believe this will be relying on the running back in this game against the Cowboys. Lastly, Marshon Lattimore will continue to be out for the Commanders secondary.

Cowboys at Commanders Preview and Predictions

Best Bets

The Cowboys come into this game struggling on offense with Cooper Rush under center. Yes, the numbers on surface looked great for Rush last week but he is continuing to have trouble commanding the offense. Thus far this season, the Commanders are 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS. This is the first time the Commanders are a double-digit favorite in the division.

The big concern I have in this game is the health of Jayden Daniels. His run production has decreased over the last several weeks due to the rib injury and the passing numbers are down. However, the Commanders can rely on their running game with Robinson Jr. and Ekeler. Despite the struggles at home this season, I believe this could be a closer game. The only concern I do have is the Cowboys are on a short week where they will play the Giants on Thanksgiving Day. Pinch your nose everyone! I am taking the Cowboys at Commanders this week!

Brian Robinson Jr. Over 71.5 Rushing Yards

The Washington Commanders rushing attack has a big matchup advantage in this game. I believe Brian Robinson Jr. will have a big game on the ground for the Commanders. Over the last three weeks, the Cowboys have allowed 142.7 rushing yards per game. Additionally, the Cowboys have allowed 4.6 rushing yards per attempt in the same span. In four out of the last five weeks, the Cowboys have allowed at least one running back to go over this projection.
