The AFC South is in for another year of up-and-down thrills and electric results. CJ Stroud and Anthony Richardson both had great moments in their rookie season. Who knows, maybe Anthony Richardson could have had a better season than Stroud if he were not to get hurt early in the year. Both of these teams should have made off-season strides and have high hopes heading into week one. Below, we will take a look at the Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans Predictions and Preview.
Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans Predictions and Preview
In my opinion, the addition of Adonai Mitchell to the Colts wide receiver core is not being talked about enough. Mitchell got selected in the second round after a nice season at Texas. He is not the biggest or fastest receiver in the league, but he has all the tools to be great. Combine that with defenses having to key in on Anthony Richardson, Jon Taylor, and Michael Pittman, and I really believe Mitchell could be a game-breaker in his rookie year.
I love what Houston did in the off-season. Bringing in Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs to help an already successful offense is exactly what you want to see from a front office. Defensively, I give the edge to Houston. In my opinion, the addition of Henry To’oTO’o from Alabama is another underrated draft pick.
Indianapolis Colts vs Houston Texans Bets
The Colts and Texans are going to be an extremely fun matchup for the next few years. At this moment in time, I believe Houston is a better football team. Also, I believe that Anthony Richardson is a tad overrated. Although he has size, look, and skills… He has never been a prolific winner in his career. Like I said earlier, Richardson could have had a better season than Stroud if he did not get injured. On the flip side, he could have just been riding a few hot games before the league was able to catch up to him. Personally, I believe in the latter and will run to the bank with a Texans ticket.
