While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. Promotions all over the world as well as domestic ones are showing up in sportsbooks. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for ONE Fight Night 40 from Bangkok, Thailand for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: ONE Fight Night 49
ONE Flyweight Fight: Seung Chul Lee vs Nazareth Lalthazuala
Card Start Time: Saturday (11/6), 9:00pm EST (Amazon Prime)
ONE Championship has been skimpy on the MMA fights as of late, but they’re back at it with a slew of brawls on Friday. They have four MMA fights on this card with a slew of other combat sports spliced in-between.
One of the spots I like best on this card is the flyweight contest between Nazareth Lalthazuala and Seung Chul Lee. Lalthazuala is one of the hottest prospects out of India at the moment. He is quick with his hands and works to the body exceptionally well. Even for a 125er, he has tremendous speed and is hand to reign in.
Lee on the other hand isn’t bad with the hands, but his bread and butter is the grappling. He is always looking to drag the fight into deep waters and make the opponent work off of his back. Lalthazuala has shown good hips to go along with solid distance management. If he is able to keep both of those things going, he should be able to piece up Lee en route to a big upset victory.
ONE Fight Night 49 Pick: Nazareth Lalthazuala ML (+240)
