College Football Pick Of The Day (October 31st): NCAA Week 9 Spread Pick

For today’s Week 10 college football pick of the day, I’m looking at the Ohio vs. Akron game on Tuesday night. Ohio is 6-2 and will play the 1-7 Akron Zips at InfoCision Stadium. The Bobcats have won five straight and sit atop the MAC, averaging 29.6 points per game behind a potent rushing attack. They’re averaging just under 200 yards a game on the ground!

Victor Rosa and Duncan Brune lead a committee that has controlled the line of scrimmage. The defense isn’t bad, holding opponents to an average of 22 points. Akron’s defense, on the other hand, is allowing 32.8 points and a little over 185 rushing yards per game. The Zips have lost six straight and continue to struggle. Their offense puts up just 19 points per game and has been turnover-prone.

Ohio’s ability to run the ball against a bad Akron defense will wear the Zips down and pile on a big lead.

The Pick: Ohio (-11.5)
