CFB Prop Shop: College Football Player Props Week 9

It’s already Week 9 of College Football action, and this week’s main Saturday slate falls on Halloween. It’ll get spooky at campuses across the country, and you can expect the fans to be extra rowdy this weekend. Which players will be extra rowdy on the field? That’s the big question. Let’s head into the CFB Prop Shop for Week 9 and select our favorite College Football player props. The books are being pretty stingy on player props this week and holding it close to the vest. As we get closer to game time, keep an eye out for Gophers tight end Roman Voss’ receiving yards for our weekly play against Indiana.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

Fame Ijeboi Over 78.5 Rushing Yards (-118)

Purdue running back Fame Ijeboi not only has one cool name, but he’s a solid running back as well. And the 6’0 “, 210 lb back comes from Folcroft, Pennsylvania. Just over three hours away from State College. Now, he returns back to his home state, with a chance to show off in front of his friends and family. I have Purdue as a live dog in this game, with a chance to take down Penn State. In order to do that, they need to slow the game down and pound it down the Nittany Lions’ throats.
Ijeboi has had an up-and-down season, but he’s had massive games like 195 yards on 31 carries against the Minnesota Golden Gophers a few weeks ago. Penn State has allowed six different players to rush for over 75 yards this season. Northwestern made an entire sport out of running against Penn State. They racked up 413 yards against this rushing defense.

Jamal Roberts Over 109.5 Rushing Yards (-112)

Jamal Roberts has had a stellar season on the ground this year for the Missouri Tigers. 222 yards against Texas A&M. 211 against the Florida Gators. In four of his last six games, he’s gone over the 125-yard rushing mark. Arkansas’ defense has certainly been much better than Penn State’s. But they aren’t without their flaws. Just a few weeks ago, when they faced the Tennessee Volunteers, running back Deshaun Bishop ran for 138 yards on just 19 carries. Missouri should control much of this game as heavy favorites. They’ll lean on their superstar to control the pace.

Anthony Colandrea Over 39.5 Rushing Yards (-118)

Lincoln, Nebraska under the lights on Halloween night. Skull and crossbones, the symbol of the Blackshirts defense. The “Sea of Red” turned black for a blackout game. Memorial Stadium will be alive and rocking for this game against the Washington Huskies as the Cornhuskers look to reach bowl eligibility with a sixth win. Their fearless leader knows how to keep his home crowd loud, and that’s by scrambling with the football. He’s damn good at it too.

Colandrea started the season slow on the ground as the Huskers weren’t really challenged by lesser opponents. But since getting into league play in the Big Ten, Anthony has had at least 38 rushing yards in the last four games, all against Big Ten opponents. 66 against Michigan State, 108 on the ground against Maryland. We’re going back to the well with a guy who knows how to get it done.

Jelani Thurman Over 43.5 Receiving Yards (-125)

Speaking of electric places on Halloween night. Chapel Hill is also hosting a night game, and theirs is against the #1 team in the land, the Miami Hurricanes. I have North Carolina as another team that could be on upset alert. In order to do that, they have to control the game. Run the ball and make short, easy completions to move the chains. Enter Tar Heels tight end, Jelani Thurman. Thurman has been productive this season. He averages 11.8 yards per catch. Thurman has gone over 50 yards in five of the Tar Heels’ seven games this season. Make it another one as the Tar Heels press Miami in this game.
