Daily NBA Player Props – October 28th
Norman Powell – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+101)
Powell has been hot from beyond the arc lately and with the way the Bulls have been struggling, they’ll need more of it. Over their last two games, he’s hit seven times from beyond the arc with a 50% hit rate. That does give him a little room to slip here and still come out on the over. He’s averaging eight attempts per game on the season, which should be more than enough for this one.
Jalen Johnson – Under 40.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-109)
Jalen Johnson leads the Hawks in every offensive category imaginable. They go how Johnson goes. However, he has not been particularly close to this mark on many occasions this season. In fact, over four games, he’s hit just one over on this PRA mark. That was because he put up 16 assists against the Rockets. That’s twice as many as his next highest game. We also have to worry about them blowing out the Heat and resting him more. As a result, I love the under.
Isaiah Hartenstein – Over 10.5 Rebounds (+120)
Dallas is not running out a tough front court when it comes to rebounding. Hartenstein will be dealing with PJ Washington for the most part along with a smattering of Daniel Gafford. The bigger piece is that his partner in low-post crime, Chet Holmgren, is out with a knee injury. When Holmgren missed Monday’s game, Hartenstein went for 14 boards. I expect a similar result here.
