The injuries are piling up as Week 4 of NFL action has arrived. Injuries affect both betting and fantasy football greatly each week. Luckily, this week, despite the long list, we have a lot of for-sure answers either on the cleared-to-play or ruled-out list already. Making these fantasy football and betting decisions easier and clearer on a Saturday afternoon. Let’s dive into the Week 4 NFL injury report now.
Green Light: Cleared to Play
Rams WR – Puka Nacua (hip)
Ravens QB – Lamar Jackson (back)
Panthers QB – Bryce Young (knee)
Broncos WR – Jaylen Waddle (foot)
Texans WR – Nico Collins (hamstring)
Buccaneers RB – Bucky Irving (glute)
Buccaneers WR – Chris Godwin (ankle)
Bears RB – D’Andre Swift (knee)
Bills WR – DJ Moore (shoulder)
Bills WR – Keon Coleman (ankle)
Titans RB – Tony Pollard (foot)
Titans RB – Tyjae Spears (ankle)
Commanders TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring)
Puka Nacua is the headliner here. The Rams superstar has been cleared to play as the team heads to Philadelphia in a battle of two wounded squads. Nacua could very well be on a snap count, but it’s hard to bench a player this good.
Lamar Jackson is a full go, as is the NFL’s passing-yards leader, Bryce Young. Both should be just fine and ready to lock into your starting lineups. Jaylen Waddle has been cleared to go for the Broncos, but I’m a little skeptical of his capabilities. In Miami, he had a history of not showing up after being on the report. If you have to start him, you can, but if you have a pivot option, I’d like that.
Nico Collins finally returns; he’s a plug-and-play against the Cowboys. Tampa gets much-needed help with Godwin and Irving being available; they’ll be starting undrafted rookie free agent Jalon Daniels out of Kansas at quarterback. D’Andre Swift being a go is huge for the Bears, who look like they’ll be starting Special Agent Tyler Bagent at quarterback. DJ Moore and Keon Coleman are both playing for Buffalo. I’m expecting a bit of a shootout in their game with New England. Can anything or anyone help the Tennessee Titans? I’m skeptical, but Pollard and Spears are both in. Chig Okonkwo will be a much-needed weapon for Marcus Mariota, as a lot of the Commanders’ playmakers show up in the “out” section.
Yellow Light: Questionable
49ers WR – Mike Evans (rib)
Chargers WR – Ladd McConkey (foot)
Ravens WR – Zay Flowers (hamstring)
Jets TE – Kenyon Sadiq (back)
Panthers WR – Jaylen Coker (quad)
Colts TE – Mo Alie-Cox (illness)
Rams TE – Colby Parkinson (ankle)
As mentioned above, short and sweet for the questionable section this week. Mike Evans is a scary play and appears to be a game-time decision. Unfortunately, that’s an afternoon game. He is a dawg and a touchdown machine. So have a plan, but he’s playable if needed. Ladd McConkey is a tough one to trust at this point. Week 1 he was great, but since then it’s been mediocre. Now battling this foot injury, I’d avoid him if possible. Zay Flowers played through this injury last week and played well; he’s fine to trust and should be out there.
Kenyon Sadiq looked great last week; now he’s battling with a back injury. We haven’t seen enough to know how trustworthy he is. It’s a tough tight end landscape, but I’d pivot away this week. Jaylen Coker appears on track to play through this quad injury. He’s the #10 wide receiver on the year so far, and has a good matchup on Sunday Night Football against Detroit. Cox looks good to go for the Colts after battling an illness this week; reminder: this is the early London game. With Keenan Allen out, Cox is a decent option. Parkinson is hard to trust, as are all Rams tight ends, but with Ferguson out, he’s playable if needed.
Red Light: Out
Commanders QB – Jayden Daniels (elbow)
Commanders RB Rachaad White (shoulder)
Commanders WR – Terry McLaurin (hamstring)
Bears QB – Caleb Williams (hamstring)
Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield (thumb)
Rams DT – Aaron Donald (back)
Colts WR – Keenan Allen (groin)
Vikings WR – Justin Jefferson (ankle)
Dolphins WR – Caleb Douglas (ankle)
Jets RB – Breece Hall (quad)
Jets WR -AD Mitchell (finger)
Jets TE – Mason Taylor (thumb)
Patriots CB – Christian Gonzalez (shoulder)
49ers DE- Nick Bosa (calf)
Eagles WR – DeVonta Smith (hamstring)
Seahawks RB – Jadarian Price (chest)
Panthers WR Xavier Leggette (knee)
Eagles TE Dallas Goedert (knee)
Rams TE – Terrance Ferguson (ankle) Placed on IR
Dolphins RB – De’Von Achane (knee) Placed on IR
Washington is missing a healthy amount of their offensive weapons. Marcus Mariota will once again be starting. I have the Colts as a smash spot Sunday morning across the pond. Tyson Bagent appears to be the starter in Chicago. Jalon Daniels is on tap for the Buccaneers to make his first start. Watch out for that backup quarterback bump, and his rushing upside is great. The Rams are missing Aaron Donald in addition to Myles Garrett. With the Eagles down Smith and Goedert, Saquon Barkley will be huge in this game. Love him in DFS, and over rushing + receiving yards. Justin Jefferson is out, making Jordan Addison a great play against the Dolphins this week.
The Jets offense has taken a beating on this week’s report. Geno Smith will be without Breece Hall, Mason Taylor, and AD Mitchell, and Sadiq is questionable. Christian Gonzalez being out leans into the idea of Pats/Bills being a higher-scoring game. Jadarian Price is out; if Zach Charnbonett is on your waivers, he’s worth grabbing, as he could be back any week now. Leggette being out is another reason to plug Jaylen Coker in if he plays Sunday.
