Football Pick of the Day (September 22nd): NFL Week 3 Prop Bet
Atlanta Falcons vs Green Bay Packers
8:15pm – Thursday – September 24th
The Falcons have not been good this year. There is no sugarcoating that fact. Perhaps nothing drove that point home harder than a 31-point home loss to division rival Carolina on Sunday. However, a lot of that anguish can be put on the shoulders of a passing game that was relying on their third-string (and sometimes 4th-string) quarterback.
That all changes on Sunday when Michael Penix Jr. steps under center for the first time in 2026. While his health is, of course, a concern, the same could be said about Cooper Rush. Rush was experiencing back spasms leading up to the first week and Penix should be in a lot better shape.
I also love the Penix props here thanks to a great matchup. The Packers struggled against the pass on Sunday. They gave up 247 passing yards to Geno Smith and didn’t put nearly enough pressure on him. With a short week to deal with those shortcomings, expect Penix to get plenty of yards here.
