College Football Week 3 Picks, Best Bets & Predictions W/ Colby Dant Recap
Sean Green (@SeanTGreen) and Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric) are handing out college football Week 3 picks. The board runs 18 games, from Florida State at Alabama to Michigan State at Notre Dame. They are joined by Colby Dant (@thecolbyd) of The College Football Experience. The guys run the full slate and close with their locks, dogs, and teasers.

Three Ways On The Dog Side
Ryan rolled back from four days in Vegas running on 30 minutes of sleep, and Colby had to chase him down for 16 hours just to schedule this one. Still got the picks done. First, they work through the Syracuse plus-9.5 spot at Pittsburgh, and all three are on the Orange. Pitt is a big favorite, but Colby thinks the Angeli turnover problem is already priced in and Syracuse can keep pace through the air, so the consensus is smash the points.
Wake Forest gets 20 and a half at home against Miami on Friday night, and all three take the points. Sean thinks Miami’s secondary issues are real and Mensah keeps getting undervalued. Then Houston heads to Lubbock: Texas Tech lays seven and a half but lost two defensive studs, Houston leads the nation in third-down conversion rate, and the guys are on the Cougars. Ryan likes the money line, and at plus-money the Cougars are live to win this outright.
The Michigan State At Notre Dame College Football Week 3 Picks Split
The biggest split on the card is Notre Dame laying 29.5 against Michigan State at home. Ryan lays all of it with the Irish. Sean and Colby are on Pat Fitzgerald getting the points in a stadium where he has already won before. Sean’s argument: Fitzgerald is two and a half weeks into this job, Notre Dame just got in the playoff, and 30 points is a number that requires basically nothing to go wrong. Colby agrees. But Ryan says handicap the handicapper and lay the points anyway.
Other splits: Ryan fades Sean and Colby on Florida versus Auburn, taking Auburn at home plus-2.5 because he sees it as a sharp-money spot after the bet splits come in. Sean and Colby stay with Florida. On Mississippi State at South Carolina, Ryan and Colby lay the three and a half with Beamer at home. Sean likes the dog. Then NC State and Vanderbilt splits the room the other way, with Ryan and Sean on Vandy laying three and a half and Colby going with the Wolfpack.
The back half of the slate goes heavy on road dogs. Colorado gets three and a half at Northwestern and all three like the Buffs, with Ryan noting the lakeside stadium is not a place Colorado should be scared to play. Also, West Virginia is a plus-9.5 home dog against Virginia and all three are on the Mountaineers. LSU laying two and a half at Ole Miss is a lane-versus-Lane spot, and all three take the Tigers even with the Lane Kiffin fade temptation sitting right there.
Locks, Dogs And Teasers
Ryan’s locks: Syracuse plus-9.5 and Texas A&M laying 16 and a half against Kentucky in the SEC opener. His dog is West Virginia on the money line, a strong number in a home game he expects to stay close. Teasers: SMU teased to plus-7.5 and UNC teased to plus-9.5. Colby goes bigger, naming four locks including Michigan State plus-29.5 and Colorado State plus-17.5 against BYU. Also his teaser card runs Virginia Tech, Houston, and San Diego State. San Diego State is laying two and a half against JMU on their own, and Colby is laying it in the straight pick too.
