College Football Week 3 Weekday Games Preview & Picks Recap
The College Football Experience on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its college football week 3 predictions coverage with a short, spicy weekday slate. Is this really the best college football can offer on a Tuesday? Can a two-touchdown home dog actually cover on a Thursday night? Does a true road underdog have enough juice for a revenge trip across two time zones? Will the week’s biggest mismatch actually live up to its number? And which of these five college football games gets crowned the dumbest of the entire season? Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) and Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) open the show by grading the weekday board a D-plus for volume. Then they dig into the games that actually matter before handing the mic to the Daily Dundee.
From there, the show settles into the Daily Dundee, the segment where Colby and Mac genuinely live every week. They debate whether North Dakota State can win the Mountain West and sneak into the playoff. Both hosts land on an 11-1 finish and see a real shot at more. Then they pick the dumbest game of the week. They’re still stunned that Duquesne is flying across the country to play Washington State in Pullman. Georgia at Arkansas gets tabbed as the week’s likeliest blowout. Meanwhile, USC-Rutgers gets buried for hijacking the CBS afternoon window from a real game. College Football Week 3 Predictions: The Weekday Slate
Thursday night carries the real headliner: Syracuse at Pitt, a Big East throwback game with actual stakes attached. Colby is all over Syracuse as a double-digit road dog. He also sprinkles the money line at plus-320 for good measure. Then he pounds the over 51.5, expecting both offenses to move the ball freely. From there, the small-college board takes over. Both hosts land on Concord at home over Charleston in a young West Virginia rivalry game. Still, the most charming angle of the week is Framingham State at UMass Dartmouth. It’s a Friday MASCAC opener, and Colby simply refuses to fade Framingham off the name alone. Once the weekday dust settles, this slate is exactly the kind of chaos the show wants.
Friday’s main card hands the guys three underdogs they genuinely like. Miami is favored by about 20.5 points at Wake Forest. Mac likes Wake’s first-half money line behind Jake Dickert, who beat UVA on the road and beat SMU a year ago. Meanwhile, Houston is a touchdown dog at plus-7.5 on the road at Texas Tech. Willie Fritz’s team has the better coach and the better quarterback in this spot. So Mac is on Houston’s money line at plus-240 for the revenge trip back to Lubbock. In the nightcap, Oregon lays more than eight touchdowns on Portland State, with the total sitting at 68.5. By kickoff, the real debate is the over 68.5 versus simply trusting the Ducks to cover the number.
When it comes time to rank the card, Mac feels best about Houston plus the touchdown. He calls it his favorite bet of the week. Colby’s favorite play of the entire slate is Syracuse, taking both the points and the money line. Then the guys turn it over to the pop quiz and border-battle debates that round out the show.
