Chicago White Sox vs St. Louis Cardinals

Start Time: 7:15 PM EST

On Friday, I made the Washington Nationals my best bet (which, as of this writing, I don’t know how that worked out), which felt strange since they aren’t known to be a good team (they are mediocre this season, which is an improvement). That feeling is doubled as I go in on the Chicago White Sox for tomorrow, as they continue their interleague series with the St. Louis Cardinals.

But the Sox are actually good this year, 75-71 with an estimated 92% chance of seeing their first postseason action since 2021. The St. Louis Cardinals’ only plans after the regular season will be wherever they booked their vacations to, despite having a similar win-loss record to the White Sox (72-75).

Advanced stats rate Chicago the superior team in this matchup, and the fact that it’s at Busch Stadium could be in their favor, as the Cards are only 34-38 on their home field, the sixth-worst mark in the majors.

The Chicago White Sox, as slight dogs on the moneyline, are my best bet for Saturday.
