2026 NFL Week 1 Anytime Touchdown Bets!

James Cook (-105)

James Cook enters Week 1 as Buffalo’s featured back against Houston. The role itself is an argument for why he will find the end zone. The Bills lean on him often and will especially need to do so to help stop this pass rush of the Texans. Cook has developed into a between-the-tackles hammer who flashes enough burst to finish runs. Houston’s defense is one of the best, but they do give up rushing touchdowns.

The game script also favors Cook scoring a touchdown. Buffalo is a slight favorite on the road in a game with a somewhat lower total. That usually indicates that the Bills will try to control the clock and punch it in from shorter yardage. Cook has consistently received the goal-line carries, as long as Josh Allen doesn’t steal it.

Houston will try to keep Allen on the sideline, but that may only increase Cook’s touch count. Even if the Texans stack the box, Cook’s vision and contact balance is really good. He doesn’t need 25 carries to score. He’ll need just three or four snaps inside the 10-yard line. He’s one of my favorites for my Week 1 anytime touchdown bets.

Breece Hall (+100)

The next player on my NFL Week 1 anytime touchdown bets is Breece Hall. He remains the New York Jets’ lead back. The Jets offense may not be expected to light up the scoreboard. However, I think the offense will be better than people expect. Hall is the lead back and the most explosive piece on the roster alongside wide receiver Garrett Wilson. When New York reaches the red zone, the ball is going to him more often than anyone else.

The Jets may not have many winnable games this year. However, the game against Tennessee is one of them. The Titans have not been good against power or cutback runs. Hall’s combination of speed and the ability to make contact gives him a chance to score even if the Jets only generate two or three scoring drives.

One broken tackle or one well-blocked inside zone from the 5-yard line is all it will take for this. Hall has produced in worse offensive environments before. Plus, he can catch the ball out of the backfield as well. This week the Jets will lean on Hall as their new/old quarterback Geno Smith gets accustomed to being back with the team.

Jalen Hurts (+125)

The next player on my Week 1 anytime touchdown bets is a guy who has scored a lot of touchdowns the past couple of years. That is Jalen Hurts. I’m not asking Jalen Hurts to have a 300-yard passing, 100-yard rushing day. I’m just asking the Eagles to get to the 1-yard line. That is all they need to do to cash this ticket, because we all know the Tush Push will be coming.

Hurts remains one of the most reliable short-yardage and goal-line runners in the league because of how the Eagles have perfected the QB sneak. Washington will try to take away the perimeter and force the Eagles to win inside. That will play to Hurts’ strengths. Even though Saquon Barkley will handle the bulk of runs, the Eagles still trust Hurts to finish drives.

Hurts has scored rushing touchdowns in a very high percentage of games when the Eagles are in control. I fully expect them to be in control against Washington. The safest Eagles anytime touchdown bet isn’t Barkley, in my opinion. It’s Hurts.

De’Von Achane (+110)

The next player I think will score a touchdown is De’Von Achane. I have no idea what to expect out of Malik Willis and the Dolphins receiving corps. However, I do know we can trust De’Von Achane to get the ball a lot. He is a dual-threat back who can score on both the ground and through the air. Achane’s speed creates chunk plays that can become scoring opportunities quickly. His receiving usage also gives him a second path to the end zone if the Dolphins fall behind or the run game stalls.

Miami should generate enough offensive snaps against the Raiders. Achane typically sees 14+ carries and at least five targets in games where the Dolphins are competitive. That combination produces touchdowns at a higher rate than many featured backs who only run between the tackles. The Raiders should have an improved defense. However, they historically have allowed explosive runs and have been vulnerable to speed backs.

Achane doesn’t exactly need to dominate the stat sheet. He needs a well-blocked stretch play or a check-down that turns into a 20-yard scamper. He’s done both of these repeatedly. The Dolphins may only score a touchdown or two. However, I’m confident enough that it’s Achane who gets it done that I have to place my money on him for my Week 1 anytime touchdown bets.

Ja’Marr Chase (-125) / Tee Higgins (+125)

The last pick on my Week 1 anytime touchdown bets is actually two players. I’m taking Joe Burrow‘s top two receivers in a game total with a 50.5-point total. Cincinnati opens at home against Tampa Bay and looks to be one of the highest-scoring games. I do worry slightly about how the Bengals tend to start slow. However, when they move the ball, Chase and Higgins are the primary red-zone options. Chase is the alpha who can win at all three levels. Higgins is a big-bodied target who excels on fades and back-shoulder throws inside the 15.

The Bucs’ secondary is a little suspect, and these two should be able to feast. Burrow has historically spread the ball around when both are healthy, which means it is realistic that both find the end zone rather than one getting multiple.

The game script should produce multiple Bengals scoring drives. Even if the Bucs keep it close, that only increases dropbacks and red-zone snaps. Chase will get the lion’s share of attention. However, that hasn’t stopped him before. Higgins will see a lot of single coverage as a result. Both have scored in high-total games against similar defenses. Plus, I think Burrow feels like he’s got a little bit to prove and may be slinging it to start the year off right.
