Sean Green (@SeanTGreen), Ryan Kramer (@KramerCentric), and Colby Dant (@thecolbyd) all took BYU -7.5. The whole conversation kept circling back to how tough a trip Provo is. As they put it on the show, you don’t walk into LaVell Edwards Stadium and easily walk away with a win, and between the elevation and BYU being the better team, the guys wanted the home side.
They chewed on the Arizona case before landing there. The line had moved down from as big as nine because Arizona was getting bet, and that steam was exactly what they didn’t buy. There was talk about Arizona hanging within the number behind a veteran quarterback and Danny Gonzalez’s defense, but the show noted Arizona hasn’t been good as a dog under Brett Brennan at 3-8 ATS. BYU needed double overtime to beat them in Tucson last year, and the recurring theme was to not overthink it, the same way they framed the Michigan game earlier.
