Cincinnati Reds vs Chicago Cubs

Start Time: 2:20 PM EST

I’ve zeroed in on some National League Central action tomorrow for my best bet, with the Chicago Cubs hosting the Cincinnati Reds for Game 2 of their current three-game series. The Cubs have had the Reds’ number this season, leading the season series 6-2 after losing to Cincy on Friday night.

Chicago has had pretty much everyone’s number this season, as they’ve been a top team all year, with the fifth-best win-loss record in the majors and the fourth strongest advanced stat rating. Cincinnati, meanwhile, has taken a step back after making a rare playoff appearance last year, when they went 83-79. They will not be making a return trip to the postseason this year, nor will they win 83 games unless they go on an epic run (they are sitting at 64 wins currently with 28 games to go).

The home side runs out newly acquired Kevin Gausman to start tomorrow, fresh off pitching seven shutout innings of three-hit ball, with six strikeouts, in his last start. Needless to say, I like the Chicago Cubs on the moneyline as my best bet for Saturday.
