The Rangers and the White Sox gave us a nice hit on an NRFI on Wednesday, and now we’ll look to ride that momentum into Thursday. We have some NRFI bets for August 27.
With less than half of the week in action, we had to push to find some spots for Thursday. We think we cooked you up a couple of good ones. Come check out what we have cooked up for this slate of games.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – August 27
Kansas City Royals vs. Toronto Blue Jays
First Pitch – 7:07 pm EST
Rogers Centre – Toronto, ON
Broadcast – MLB TV
The Royals are first to the plate in this one and they have struggled at the plate heavily this year. They rank in the bottom third of the league in runs scored and are currently dead last in a lackluster AL Central division. That’s good news for Spencer Arrighetti, who has had an up and down year this year. Earlier this season, he dealt with the Royals quite well and picked up seven strikeouts in the process. With as cold as the Royals have been, we’ll roll the dice that he can do it again.
Closing out this NRFI is an arm that we can put a lot more trust in. Noah Cameron has been exceptional for the Royals in the last couple months. He has held opponents scoreless in four of his last six starts and put up a 1.63 ERA in the month of August. He’s destined for a good game against the worst offense in the majors. Not only does Toronto have less runs than everyone else in the league, but they are also the worst team when it comes to scoring in the first inning.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for August 27: No (TBD)
Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets
First Pitch – 7:10 pm EST
Citi Field – Queens, NY
Broadcast – MLB TV
The Brewers are one of the best hitting teams in the majors right now, which means that we must have a lot of faith in the man trying to shut them down. That man is Sean Manaea. Although his numbers for the season might leave a bit to be desired, he has really turned it on over the last couple months. He’s put up a sub-4.00 ERA in each of the last four months. The last month has been particularly strong with 29 strikeouts in 25.1 innings. With the Brewers bats slowing down a bit lately, we can put our faith behind Manaea.
The bottom of the first is going to be much less of a sweat than all of our other spots. Not only do the Mets currently rank in the bottom third of the league in all of the meaningful hitting metrics, but they also have to face the presumed NL Cy Young winner. Jacob Misiorowski has been untouchable this year. He leads the majors in ERA, WHIP and strikeouts. I doubt the Mets get much going all game – nevermind in the first inning.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for August 27: No (TBD)
Bonus Pick: Dodgers/Braves NRFI (TBD)
Looking to put together a three-pick parlay? This extra play may just be the piece that you’re looking for. Throw it together with the other two to net a three-pick parlay for TBD.
