Colorado Rockies vs Washington Nationals

We’ll kick things off in the Nation’s Capital, as the Washington Nationals and the Colorado Rockies finish up their season series. While it’s been another miserable year for the Rockies, they at least have one bright spot.

That would be catcher Hunter Goodman, who has followed up his breakout sophomore season with an even better year in 2026, with a career-high 35 dingers. Opposing pitcher Jake Irvin has allowed at least one home run in five straight starts and eight of his last nine, so I like Goodman’s chances at going yard.

Baltimore Orioles vs St. Louis Cardinals

Start Time: 2:15 PM EST

The Baltimore Orioles are having another meh season, but it’s not the Polar Bear’s fault. In his first year in an Orioles uniform, Pete Alonso leads the team in WAR and has 31 dingers.

Can he make that 32 (or more) tomorrow against the St. Louis Cardinals? There’s a good chance, as Alonso is on a heater, with five homers over his past 10 games and two in his last four games heading into Wednesday’s action.
