Cleveland Guardians vs Colorado Rockies
Start Time: 8:40 PM EST
If in doubt, bet against the Colorado Rockies, right? There’s always money in the banana stand, and there’s always money betting against the Rockies.
You see, the Rockies aren’t good at baseball, which is a bad trait to have if you are a professional baseball team. Only the inept, homeless Athletics are keeping Colorado from being in the basement of the majors, both in terms of win-loss record and advanced stat ranking.
Now the Cleveland Guardians aren’t exactly world beaters, and haven’t been winning much lately, but at least they do actually win games on occasion, while the Rockies have dropped three straight and four of their past five. And playing at home in Denver isn’t much of an advantage for Colorado, as they have the third-worst home record in the majors (27-35).
Additionally, the Guardians send Joey Cantillo to the bump to start tomorrow, coming off a six-inning performance of one-run ball in his last outing. The Cleveland Guardians on the moneyline is my best bet for Friday.
