With the WNBA trade deadline in the rearview, it’s full speed ahead to the playoffs (still almost two months to go). Two teams sure to see playoff action go at it tomorrow night in the Dirty South. Las Vegas Aces vs Atlanta Dream
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Not only are the Las Vegas Aces and the Atlanta Dream playoff-bound (jinx), they are two of the WNBA’s best teams, with the Aces sitting second in the league standings and the Dream fifth. If the two teams’ first matchup is any indication – a one-point Las Vegas win on a last-second Chelsea Gray jumper – we should be in for a fun game on Monday night.
The Dream are looking good heading into the rematch, having won five straight games and six of their last seven (the Aces lost their last game and are 2-2 over their past four). Having only dropped four home games (10-4) this season, with one of those being the aforementioned Las Vegas loss, Atlanta is out for revenge tomorrow night.
And I think the Dream will get their revenge. Or at least cover the spread, which is all I care about. After the requisite number crunching, my line is Atlanta -3, so I like the Dream plus the points as my best bet to kick off the week.
