The NFL is quickly approaching, and just one team will get the NFC #1 seed. Luckily, we can place bets on a handful of teams and still make a profit if one of them makes it. Taking multiple NFL futures on a bet like this helps maximize opportunity. Let’s take a look at the teams I’m placing my money on for our NFC #1 seed bets.
LA Rams (+300)
The Rams sit as the clear favorites to win the NFC. Matthew Stafford continues to direct one of the most explosive offenses in the league. The recent addition of Myles Garrett should take an already great defense into even better. They were already a physical defense capable of generating consistent pressure and creating turnovers. That two-way balance gives Los Angeles the highest floor and ceiling in the conference.
A favorable early schedule and the advantage of playing home games at SoFi Stadium further strengthen their case. The Rams have shown they can sustain winning streaks and close out games against quality opponents. Health will remain the biggest variable, especially with Matt Stafford. If Stafford stays upright and the new defensive pieces gel quickly, the Rams are well-positioned for 12 or 13 wins.
Their path to the #1 seed runs through the tough NFC West, but the talent gap over most of the conference is real. Consistent execution on both sides of the ball should produce the best regular-season record and the first-round bye that comes with it. They’re my favorite to win the Super Bowl and my favorite to get the NFC #1 seed, so I’m placing my bet on them.
Philadelphia Eagles (+850)
Next up for our NFC #1 seed bets is the Philadelphia Eagles at +850. Jalen Hurts leads a talented roster that has claimed consecutive East titles. For those of you who don’t know, winning consecutive titles in the NFC East isn’t common as of late. New additions on both sides of the ball have added depth and versatility. The Eagles typically post strong regular-season records because of their ability to win at home and grind out close contests. Nick Sirianni has led these Eagles to the Super Bowl before. He is fully capable of leading them to the #1 seed.
The path requires Philadelphia to dominate a competitive East. A healthy offensive line and consistent defensive takeaways would push them past 11 or 12 victories. The Eagles have the talent to match any team in the conference on a given Sunday, and their experience in division races gives them an edge when the standings tighten in December.
If the West teams split games among themselves, the Eagles could emerge with the best overall record. Their floor remains high, and the ceiling is high enough to challenge for the top seed. NFC #1 Seed Bets on Philadelphia offer solid mid-range value for a team that rarely finishes outside the top half of the conference.
Chicago Bears (+1300)
Go ahead, be a naysayer. Tell me they can’t repeat the luck from last year. I disagree. Caleb Williams continues to develop inside a coaching system under Ben Johnson that already produced a division title. Strong home performances at Soldier Field and a rising supporting cast give Chicago a realistic shot at 11 or more wins. The Bears have shown they can compete with the top teams in the North and take advantage of softer spots on the schedule. With another year of comfort in the offense and a faster defense, this team should be even better this year.
Navigating the tough NFC North will be the biggest challenge, yet consistent quarterback play and improved defensive play can push them past the Packers and Lions. A few key division victories and limited turnovers would put the Bears firmly in the mix for the conference’s best record. Their young core still has room to grow, which often translates into second-half surges. Don’t forget, the Bears were in the mix for the number one seed late in the season last year.
If the more established contenders experience injuries or inconsistency, Chicago is positioned to capitalize. The longer odds make them an appealing value play for our NFL futures.
