For the first time in history, the UFC octagon is setting up shop in Serbia this weekend for a Fight Night event. A native son is in the main event, going up against a fighter just sprung from a Mexican prison. Sometimes these things happen in MMA. UFC Fight Night: Medic vs Rodriguez (aka UFC Belgrade)
Start Time: 10:00 AM EST
Of the numerous debuting (mostly Serbian) fighters on Saturday’s card, Vlasto Cepo may end up being the most popular one before his career is over. A veteran of the European promotion Oktagon, Cepo fights like a maniac in the cage, swinging for the fences and going for broke.
This results in Cepo ending most of his fights via knockout in the first frame. With Saturday’s opponent Gilbert Urbina not having much firepower, and having been T/KOd in back-to-back fights, I think ‘El Chapo’ ends this one early. And I found a book offering his Round 1 prop for plus money, somehow.
