Best Bet for Tuesday (July 28th): WNBA Predictions
Toronto Tempo vs Minnesota Lynx
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Playing the Minnesota Lynx has been a scary proposition for the rest of the WNBA this season, as the team has run out to a league-best 22-6 mark, including 10-4 at home, where tomorrow’s tilt with the Toronto Tempo will take place. Well, things have just got a lot scarier, as arguably the league’s second-best player, Napheesa Collier, has returned to the court for the Lynx.
And Collier didn’t miss a beat in her return from double ankle surgery, going for 24 points and 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes of action in her first game back. This is what the expansion Tempo are up against tomorrow night. Not only that, but Toronto will still be without Brittney Sykes, who was the team’s leading scorer when she injured her foot a month and a half ago. As well, key contributors Kiki Rice, Nyara Sabally, and Isabelle Harrison could all miss tomorrow’s game.
Minnesota beat Toronto by 28 points in their first meeting this season, and that was with the Tempo at full strength and the Lynx without Collier. I like Minnesota to cover this wide spread tomorrow night at home.
