Maybe I need to start making easier, lower-paying home run plays, at least until I get my earlier mojo back. One of those such players would be New York Yankees slugger Ben Rice today against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Rice has a career-high 29 homers this season, but hasn’t hit one for a few games, so he’s due, I reckon. Plus, opposing pitcher Graham Ashcroft has a poor hard-hit % against him this season (41%).

Tampa Bay Rays vs Toronto Blue Jays

Start Time: 7:07 PM EST

Off to the Rays and Jays, with Tampa Bay meeting Toronto up north. And my play may seem like a surprising pick for a potential home run hitter.

Blue Jays veteran George Springer has regressed to the mean after his MVP vote-earning season last year. However, he does have homers in two of his last five games, and has hit Tampa Bay starter Nick Martinez hard over his career, including two home runs.
