The NFL futures betting market never stops. As we continue to prepare for the 2026 National Football League season, we find ourselves staring at the player props “leaders” market. Today we’ll take a look at who could become the 2026 NFL sack leader. Who will lead the league in passing yards and passing touchdowns? Let’s take a look at some of the top bets within the NFL sack leaders market.
2026 NFL Best Bets: NFL Sack Leader
Myles Garrett (LA Rams) +250
The first player to discuss as the potential NFL sack leader is the reigning champion, Myles Garrett. He’s a heavy favorite, but still plus money at +250. Now with the LA Rams, it is possible he is not required to be on the field as much. The Rams have a more efficient offense, meaning they should be able to drive the ball on offense more often.
However, it’s hard to overlook his 2025 dominance. Garrett finished with 23 sacks. He won’t need to repeat that number in order to win the NFL sack leader. It’s hard not to take Garrett at plus money, especially given that he’s got the best chance to win it. It isn’t necessarily that he will run away with it. However, on a defense with plenty of talent, you have to consider him.
Aidan Hutchinson (Detroit Lions) +500
The second player to discuss as a sack leader is the now fully healthy Aidan Hutchinson. He had 14.5 sacks in 2025 after recovering from a leg injury. He still wasn’t fully 100%, per reports. Now, fully healthy, he’ll look to help Detroit bounce back after finishing fourth in the NFC North.
The Lions lack a little depth on their defense, and Hutchinson may need to carry them. They have a decent defensive line. However, it’s the other positions that concern me. At +500, it’s worth considering the former Michigan Wolverine. He has a high motor and should push 15-18 sacks. If anything should happen to Garrett health-wise, that would leave Hutchinson right in line to win it.
Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter (Houston Texans) +600
This Texans’ defensive line was very dominant last year. They return the core of their defense and gave extensions to both Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter. They are both +600 to finish as the NFL sack leader and are worth a consideration for your 2026 NFL bets.
Anderson is younger and a more likely candidate in my opinion. However, Hunter still performed at an extremely high level. In fact, Hunter had 15 sacks last year. This year, I think Will Anderson wins the sack count between the two. Whether it will be enough to lead the NFL. However, they both have a really good shot.
Longshots for NFL Sack Leader Picks
It’s always fun to throw a couple of longshot bets in your NFL bets, and here are some of my favorites for the 2026 futures market.
One of the more interesting players to consider to lead the NFL in sacks is Nik Bonitto of the Denver Broncos. He had a team-high 14 sacks in 2025. The Broncos have an aggressive front, and their defensive scheme should help bolster him. At +1400, it’s worth a sprinkle.
Brian Burns is +1800 to lead the NFL in sacks after finishing second in sacks last year with 16.5. Sprinkling on a guy at +1800 when they finished second last year feels like easy money. If the defense continues to improve and he stays healthy, 15+ sacks is realistic.
You can’t forget about Maxx Crosby, especially at +1500. The Raiders are actually looking pretty improved after they traded Crosby away, but then got him back. He has a lot to prove and is consistent year in and year out.
Another excellent player is T.J. Watt at +1600. Health has always been the issue for Watt. However, he has multiple sack titles. If he stays healthy, there’s no reason he can’t return to 15+ sacks.
My Favorite Pick
The greatest thing about leader awards is that they aren’t biased. It’s simply who leads the league in sacks. Sure, Myles Garrett is a sexy pick. However, you have to remember just how much he was on the field in Cleveland because of the offensive inefficiencies. That won’t happen in LA.
The Texans edge rushers trade off and on with who has the better game. They should both be highly motivated. However, I don’t know if we can fully expect either one to rise above the other, let alone above the rest of the NFL.
Therefore, I have to go with the dog that plays on a team that will likely be on defense a lot. The Las Vegas Raiders offense has some nice pieces. However, I think it’ll be a bit before they fully figure it out and are firing on all cylinders. Therefore, I expect Maxx Crosby to be on the field often. After the organization traded him and the trade fell through, expect the guy who plays with a chip on his shoulder to have an even bigger chip. At +1500, it’s just too juicy for me to pass up.
