Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks
Start Time – 6:00 PM EST
Another chapter of the Battle of New York will be written tomorrow in Las Vegas, as the NBA Champion New York Knicks meet the Brooklyn Nets. But this squad does not resemble the Knicks team we just got finished seeing.
New York’s summer roster is a bunch of “who’s that?” (no disrespect to Mohamed Diawara and Pacôme Dadiet), while the Nets are stacked (Mikel Brown Jr, Danny Wolf, Egor Demin, Ben Saraf, among others). The Knicks might have won the war, but the Nets will win this battle.
Best Bet: Brooklyn -7.5 (-110)
Chicago Bulls vs Memphis Grizzlies
Start Time – 8:00 PM EST
One of the early favorites to win the Vegas league has to be the Memphis Grizzlies. Despite only going 1-2 in the Salt Lake City Summer League last week, the Grizzlies enter Vegas with a stacked roster, headlined by #3 pick Cameron Boozer, and veterans Cedric Coward and Olivier-Maxence Prosper.
The Chicago Bulls are much more wet behind the ears, but do have #4 pick Caleb Wilson suiting up. Still, I’m going with the experience and the Grizzlies.
Best Bet: Memphis -5.5 (-110)
