While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. MMA Regional Pick of the Week: PFL MENA 10
PFL MENA Featherweight Fight: Elias Boudegzdame vs Hussein Salem

PFL MENA kicks off its welterweight and featherweight tournaments on Friday morning. They have a bunch of returning faces coming to fill out the brackets and a pair of them are featured in this one.
Elias Boudegzdame is known for his ground game. Each of his last four wins have come via submission as well as 17 of his 20 career wins. There is no doubting his ability to finish the fight on the mats, whether he’s on top or the bottom. However, he often doesn’t have the wrestling to make that decision. This results in him jumping guard or waiting for his opponent to shoot or knock him down to get into his realm. The recent losses have come to fighters who understand that. Those fighters either have stayed away, even when they drop him, or be overly cautious in the guard.
I like Salem’s chances to follow the blueprints set out for him. He’s a much better striker than Boudegzdame and is likely being overlooked due to his loss to Assem Ghanem. Ghanem was able to strike with him and impose his will, but he’s a much stronger wrestler than what Salem will see here.
Look for Salem to light him up on the feet and then choose to stay away from the ground game.
