The NFL offseason is in full swing as mini-camps concluded and teams get prepped to start training camps. For the most part, we know what rosters will look like at this point. There are plenty of NFL futures bets you can find on multiple books. One I enjoy is the Fast Futures bets section. Here, you can bet on how many games a team will win in their first five games. Let’s take a look at the top NFC Fast Futures bets!
NFL Fast Futures Bets: Top NFC Team Wins After 5 Games!
Arizona Cardinals – 0 Wins
The Cardinals are the first NFC team we will discuss for the NFL fast futures bets. They open the season as one of the teams on the bottom of the totem pole. In the first five, they’ll face off against the Chargers, Seahawks, 49ers, Giants, and the Lions. Only the Seahawks and Lions are in Arizona. The rest are road games.
Arizona may have added some good players in the draft. However, they are still what feels like a long way off from winning more than a small handful of games this year. This opening slate is rough. First, they’ll face the Chargers in the Chargers’ home opener. Then the returning Super Bowl Champions come to town. They’ll also have a divisional game against the 49ers before taking on the Giants and the Lions. Four of those five teams finished with winning records last year, and I expect the Giants to improve.
You could get cute and bet them to win one game at +125. However, I see them dropping all five to start the season 0-5. 0 Wins in the first five games is +200. At two to one, it seems like easy money.
Carolina Panthers – 3 Wins
If you listened to Old-Fashioned Football, you’ll know I’m high on the Panthers this year. They open up the season at home against the Chicago Bears. After that, they’ll hit the road to take on the Falcons and the Browns. To close their first five games, they’ll have a home game against the Lions and a road game against the Eagles.
Facing the Bears, Lions, and Eagles in the first five is a tough stretch. I fully expect them to beat the Falcons and the Browns easily enough. Something tells me they will secure at least one other win there. I refuse to say it’s against my Bears.
Either way, I’m skipping over the two wins at +150 and going straight to three wins at +300. I believe in this team this year. After all the hate I gave them last year, that’s really saying something.
Chicago Bears – 5 Wins
I’m a Chicago Bears fan, so you’ll have to take this NFL futures bet with a grain of salt. Or, believe in my belief, and ride with these Chicago Bears to start the season 5-0. The improvement of Caleb Williams from Year 1 in the NFL to Year 2 was massive. A big part of that was Ben Johnson. Keep in mind, he wasn’t comfortable with Johnson’s system at the start of last year.
Now he is comfortable with the system, has new weapons, and the defense should be improved. I hear the argument all the time that the Bears were the luckiest teams of all last year. Were they? Or were they clutch? The defense is quicker, should be better, and there should be less need for the comebacks.
Either way, I think this team can open up strong. They play the Panthers on the road. Then the Vikings, Eagles, and Jets at home. Eagles are good, I know. Look at how they outplayed them last year. They were the more physical team. Finally, they hit the road to Lambeau Field, where Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams have both had success. Give me the Bears to win 5 games at +900.
Seattle Seahawks – 2 Wins
I may not have much company in this thought, but I think the Seahawks are going to plummet back down to Earth this year. Not only will they be competing with the Super Bowl hangover, but they also lost a lot of contributing players. That’s especially true on defense.
They open up the season against the team they just beat in the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots. With the Super Bowl hangover, plus the revenge angle, I think the Patriots win that one. The good news for Seahawks fans is that they have two winnable games after that against the Cardinals and the Commanders.
Then they’ll have two tough matchups against the LA Chargers and one of their division rivals, the 49ers. I think the Seahawks lose both of those, meaning I think the reigning Super Bowl Champs start 2-3. To win just two games is +550, and I feel good about it.
LA Rams – 4 Wins
The Rams are a really intriguing team in the first five weeks. I am heavily invested in NFL futures for the Rams, including already crowning them Super Bowl Champions for the coming year. The Myles Garrett trade was huge for the defense. This team was very aggressive this offseason in upgrading the defense. With Matt Stafford healthy, we already know the offense is dangerous.
They open the season up against the 49ers in LA and then play the Giants in LA as well. The Rams then hit the road to take on the Broncos and then the Eagles. They’ll come back home for their fifth game to take on the Buffalo Bills. I’m tempted to take five wins at +550. This is the team I’ve already bet to win the most games in the regular season.
However, going from on the road in Denver to on the road in Philly is a tough slate. Then returning to take on the Bills, another playoff team, makes this a physically demanding three-game slate. I think they drop just one of them. If I had to guess, I’d say against the Eagles. It’s just a bad spot for them. Four wins after five games is +210.
