I never did like the Boston Bruins, so I guess it’s fitting that they’re the team that snapped my Stanley Cup Playoffs best bets hot streak by beating the Buffalo Sabres. But, fret not – a new heater is beginning Wednesday night when I hit my bet, and then when I hit another winner tomorrow, and so on. Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
We have two NHL games on the slate tomorrow, both in the Western Conference, with a surprising team on the verge of elimination in each. The Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars are used to going deep into the Stanley Cup Playoffs each season, but both could be out in the first round as of tomorrow night.
And I think that is going to be the Stars’ fate this season. After stealing Game 5 in Dallas’s barn, the Minnesota Wild now have the chance to wrap up the series on their home ice. The Wild are one of the league’s strongest teams at home, going 23-10-8 at the Grand Casino Arena this regular season, and having already dropped one to the Stars at home this series, I doubt that happens again.
Plus, the Wild are rolling, winning two straight and outscoring the Stars 7-4 in the process. Minnesota, on the very modest moneyline, is my best bet for Thursday.
