Atlanta Braves vs Philadelphia Phillies
Start Time: 6:40 PM EST
I’m in on another National League East matchup for my best bet tomorrow, with the second-to-last Philadelphia Phillies hosting the first-place Atlanta Braves. While the Braves have gotten out of the gates fast, leading the majors in advanced stat ranking (worth 2.5 runs per game more than the “average” team), the same can’t be said for the 8-10 Phillies.
The Braves are trouncing the Phillies in terms of pitching and batting this season (Atlanta is one of the top hitting teams in the majors and the best pitching team, to be fair), plus they are 4-3 away from Atlanta, while the Phillies are only 5-7 at Citizens Bank Park this season.
As for Friday’s starting pitchers, Atlanta’s Martin Perez (3.14 ERA, 0.91 WHIP) has been much sharper than Philadelphia’s Taijuan Walker (7.36 ERA, 1.91 WHIP) – all signs point to the Braves tomorrow night.
So I’m trying my luck on Atlanta once again on Friday night, but this time at a pick ’em number on the moneyline.
