Daily NBA Player Props – April 14th
LaMelo Ball – Over 24.5 Points (+120)
Ball was a force for the Hornets down the stretch. Excluding the last game of the year – where he clearly played less due to preparing for this one – he was 3-0 against this line to close the year. While he only put up 20.5 per game against the Heat in the regular season, that was before he started to push the scoring harder. With the Heat falling into the bottom third of scoring defense towards the end of the year, it should open up the scoring Ball needs to cash this.
Bam Adebayo – Under 10.5 Rebounds (-141)
It may seem counterintuitive to play the under on Adebayo’s rebounds in a big game, especially since he’s hit this number in two of his last three. However, it’s worth mentioning that the Hornets rebounding is about as good as it gets. They rank 2nd in the league in terms of rebounding percentage and Moussa Diabate has really come on as of late. Look for the Heat to play small to stop the guards from scoring and reduced rebounds from the big man.
Donovan Clingan – Over 12.5 Rebounds (-111)
Clingan was a monster on the boards for the Blazers this year, and chances in the playoffs should only go up. Not only are the Suns a below-average rebounding team, but they shoot at an extemely low percentage. Their 45.5% from the field is 28th in the league and they love to let it fly from deep. Clingan should be sitting under the hoop, ready to put up a gaudy number.
