2026 NFL Draft Predictions: Jeremiyah Love Buzz, Ty Simpson Debate & Sleepers You Need to Know | Stephie Smalls Show 4.10.26

I don’t trust draft season. Not emotionally. Not spiritually. Not after what mock drafts have done to me.

But here we are.

I brought in David Syvertsen from Ourlads Scouting Services so at least one of us in this conversation knows what they’re talking about. And immediately, we’re staring at the New York Giants at No. 5, which feels like one of those “you can’t mess this up”…which usually means they absolutely could.

The names? Sonny Styles makes a ton of sense. Mansoor Delane might be the guy nobody on TV is yelling about yet—but suddenly he’s gone by pick 8 and everyone pretends they saw it coming. Classic draft behavior.

Then there’s Jeremiyah Love, who has officially entered the “if Vegas knows, I’m scared” tier. The odds say top four. The internet says everything. I say…someone is lying, and I’d like to know who before I place a bet.

We also got into the weirdest part of this draft: it’s not flashy, but it’s sneaky important. Offensive linemen are about to get pushed up boards like it’s a Costco sale. Meanwhile, wide receivers are sitting there like “hello?? we’re fun??” and teams are just…walking past them.

And then there’s Ty Simpson. Ah yes, the annual “quarterback we talk ourselves into.” Is he a first-rounder? Maybe. Is he a second-rounder? Also maybe. Could he ruin a franchise or save one? Beautifully, yes.

My favorite part though? Sleepers. The guys David mentioned that casual fans aren’t talking about yet—but NFL teams definitely are. Which is where the real money lives.

Because every year, the draft tells us one thing:

You don’t win by being right.
You win by being early.
