All teams are preparing for the draft and all the rookies they’ll be acquiring. However, the top players from last year are putting the work in during the offseason so that they can step their game up even more. They’ll all battle it out on the field and hope to be the league’s best player. To be the league’s most valuable player. Let’s take a look at some of the top 2026 NFL MVP futures bets.
2026 NFL MVP Futures Bets
The Favorites: Josh Allen (+550) & Lamar Jackson (+650)
The two favorites to win the 2026 NFL MVP are Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Allen won the MVP award in 2024, and Jackson won it in 2023. They’re both capable of winning the award. However, will they in 2026?
For Lamar, the talent is there. Although the Ravens didn’t do much to help him out in the offseason. They brought in some offensive line depth. They improved at guard but took a step back at center. Jackson still has receiving options like Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews, and Derrick Henry in the backfield. I don’t foresee the Ravens and Jackson performing
Josh Allen has a better shot at becoming the MVP, especially after the team focused on adding a top receiver for him. The Bills traded for D.J. Moore, who should immediately become a WR1 for Allen. He’s got a slew of other weapons, as well as James Cook in the backfield. Like Jackson, he can also do damage on the ground. The Bills still have work to do before I think Allen will be in the MVP discussion for 2026.
Now, let’s take a look at some non-favorites that I think have a shot.
Patrick Mahomes (+1000)
When you’re considering your NFL MVP futures bets for any year, it’s hard not to consider Patrick Mahomes. There’s a reason he’s already won a bunch of awards and Super Bowls. He and Andy Reid are one of the best quarterback-coach combos in the league and have been for several years.
Mahomes was injured last year. He is expected to be ready by Week 1. However, it’s not a guaranteed thing yet. Early videos already show he’s moving around well. With Mahomes history, we know he’s a determined player who will battle back from adversity.
The Chiefs weren’t satisfied with how things ended last year. Aside from the Mahomes’ injury, they had a rough season that wasn’t what we’ve come to expect from Andy Reid. They went out and got the top running back in free agency and are expected to look at more offensive weapons in the draft. They also brought back Mahomes’ favorite target, Travis Kelce. It’s hard not to sprinkle at least a little bit on Mahomes to win MVP in 2026.
Caleb Williams (+1400)
My favorite bet, some bias included, for the 2026 NFL MVP futures bets is Caleb Williams. Under Year 1 in Ben Johnson’s system, Williams made magic happen. From amazing fourth-down conversions to come-from-behind wins. With weapons like Rome Odunze, Luther Burden, and Coleston Loveland, Williams flourished.
Now they enter Year 2 of Ben Johnson’s system with more comfort and more understanding of each other. They may have traded D.J. Moore away and lost their center. However, this team has already shown that it can draft impact players. Yes, they will likely focus on the defense. The offense won’t get completely ignored, though, if a good player is there. The Bears currently have four picks in the first 90 picks of the draft.
I expect Williams to be even more accurate and make more big plays. This Bears team wasn’t a fluke. With an improved defense, they may not need the come-from-behind wins again. However, the high-scoring offense will still be there. The Bears will continue to push the ball down the field and attempt to win the NFC North again.
Bo Nix (+3500)
What good is putting in your 2026 NFL MVP futures bets without a long shot bet? My long shot is Bo Nix at +3500. Nix finished with almost 4000 yards last year and led the Broncos to winning the AFC West. Unfortunately, Nix ended the playoffs with an injury. The Broncos were so close to making the Super Bowl prior to Nix’s injury.
With the defensive pieces in place, the Broncos may feel like their Super Bowl window is a little small. Therefore, they were aggressive in getting themselves some new weapons. This included trading for Jaylen Waddle. The former Dolphins’ receiver brings a veteran presence to the receiving room and should help Nix immediately. He still has a bunch of weapons on top of that, including Cortland Sutton and Troy Franklin.
Take into account that the Broncos could still spend some draft capital on the offense as well. Nix should be ready to put up another great season and lead the Broncos to the playoffs.
