Columbus Blue Jackets vs Detroit Red Wings
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
A crucial game is going down tomorrow night in the Motor City, as both the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Detroit Red Wings have loads of work to do if they plan on making it into the postseason (the odds of that happening for either team aren’t good currently).
This is also the rubber match on Tuesday night, as the Blue Jackets and the Red Wings have split their previous two games this season, with each team winning on their home ice. This bodes well for Detroit tomorrow, although they have a below-average home record (to offset that, Columbus is lousy on enemy ice).
With six straight losses and a 1-7 record over their past eight games, the momentum is not on the Blue Jackets’ side. While the Red Wings have been scuffling along lately as well, I’ll take them in this matchup in front of their home crowd.
