Daily NBA Player Props – March 15th
Russell Westbrook – Over 5.5 Rebounds (+118)
Over the last three games, Westbrook has seemed to show a renewed desire to get on the boards. In those three games, not only has he been over this mark in all three, but he has averaged 10.0 rebounds per game in that span. You’re not going to see an easier matchup than this for rebounds. The Jazz are a below average rebounding team and happen to be missing just about every player who grabs rebounds. Kyle Filipowski, Jusuf Nurkic, Lauri Markkanen, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Walker Kessler are all on the shelf.
Brandin Podziemski – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+101)
The Warriors are without the bulk of their three-point shooters on Sunday. Al Horford, Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, Moses Moody, De’Anthony Melton – each have been ruled out for Sunday’s contest with the Knicks. However, missing top shooters have not kept them from firing away from beyond the arc. In fact, it has had the opposite effect. They lead the league with 45.5 attempts per game, but have 51.3 over their last three (all with Steph Curry out). If anyone is to benefit from that, it should be Podziemski – who has made three or more in five of six games this month.
Ajay Mitchell – Over 14.5 Points (+102)
Mitchell may not be the first player you think of when you look to the Thunder for scoring, but he’s consistently been hitting this mark. He has 15+ in five of his last six games, and in eight of his last ten. He gets Minnesota in this one. While they are a tough team – currently second in the Western Conference – they have faltered lately on defense. They’ve allowed 130.0 points per game over the last three and I have to imagine Oklahoma City will be on the throttle.
